PIKAPIKA is the project started by Takeshi Nagata and Kazue Monno, the Japanese new media artists from Tochka Factory. They would like to send flash-light photo messages to those who are in the affected areas in Japan by collecting photos from people who interested to join and compile the files into one music video for the song “KIMIDEITE BUJIDEITE (Stay as you are, stay safe)” by Yoko Kanno.
Wit Pimkanchanapong, my Thai artist friend, and his colleagues invited us to join so we went out at night and created our messages. This is a little thing that we think we can do for the situation and these photos are what we want to say. We are standing by you.
